They supplement the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Ticket Refund Policy, and event-specific information shown before payment.

1. The parties and the event

WhatAnEvent provides the checkout, payment-administration, QR-ticket, delivery, and validation technology. The event organiser creates and operates the event and is responsible for the venue, advertised offering, entry conditions, safety, staffing, permissions, and fulfilment of the event.

The organiser is identified on the event or checkout page. Unless WhatAnEvent is expressly identified as the organiser, buying through the Platform does not make WhatAnEvent the promoter or venue operator.

2. Your order

Before payment, check the event, date, venue, ticket type, quantity, buyer details, delivery method, price, fees, and material entry conditions.

Submitting payment starts the order process but does not by itself guarantee a ticket. An order is confirmed after the payment is successfully verified and the Platform records the paid order or issues the ticket. A pending order may expire if payment is not confirmed within the checkout window.

If a ticket type sells out or the payment cannot be verified, the order may fail or expire. A bank authorisation is not always a completed charge. Contact support if money appears to have been captured but no paid order is available.

3. Price, fees, and payment

The checkout displays the ticket subtotal, buyer service fee, total price, and currency before you confirm the order. The service fee is calculated for the order using the Platform's current fee model and is not added after confirmation.

Payments are processed by PayFast or another provider identified at checkout. WhatAnEvent receives payment status and transaction references needed to reconcile the order but does not store your full payment-card number or card security code.

Your bank or payment provider may apply its own charges, exchange rate, or security checks. Those independent charges are not included in the WhatAnEvent total.

4. Buyer details and delivery choice

You must provide accurate buyer and delivery details. Depending on the option you select, a phone number, email address, or both may be required.

QR tickets and event updates may be delivered through WhatsApp, email, or the secure order page. Third-party delivery can be delayed or fail. A delivery failure does not cancel an otherwise valid order if the ticket remains available through the order-recovery process.

The secure order-lookup link acts as a capability to view or recover the order. Keep it private. Anyone with access to the link may be able to view ticket information or request permitted actions.

5. Ticket security and use

Each issued QR ticket is a revocable credential for the event and ticket type shown. Keep the QR code and ticket link secure and only share them with the intended holder.

The first valid scan may redeem the ticket. A copied, duplicated, refunded, voided, fraudulently obtained, or already-used ticket may be rejected. Contact support promptly if a QR code or order link is lost, sent to the wrong person, or publicly exposed.

Unless the Platform expressly supports a transfer or authorised resale, you must not tamper with, reproduce for multiple use, commercially resell, or sell a ticket above face value.

6. Entry conditions

Entry remains subject to the ticket type and the organiser's disclosed age, venue, safety, capacity, prohibited-item, identification, and conduct rules.

The organiser or venue may lawfully refuse entry or remove a person for an invalid ticket, safety risk, intoxication, prohibited conduct, failure to meet a disclosed age requirement, or breach of event rules. Any refund question will be assessed under the Ticket Refund Policy and applicable law.

7. Cancellations, changes, and refunds

The Ticket Refund Policy explains buyer cancellation requests, event cancellation or rescheduling, material changes, duplicate charges, processing, and payment disputes.

Refunded tickets are void and cannot be used. Service-fee treatment depends on the circumstances, the service already supplied, the terms disclosed at purchase, and any non-excludable right under applicable law.

8. Privacy

We process the buyer name, selected contact details, order and payment references, consent versions, delivery history, ticket records, and check-in information as described in the Privacy Policy.

The relevant organiser receives information reasonably needed to administer the event, order, refund, communications, and entry. Do not use another person's contact details unless you are authorised to do so and have given them any required notice.

9. Event communications

If you choose WhatsApp delivery, or otherwise opt in during checkout, you agree to the current Event Communications Notice. It covers ticket delivery and operational updates for the event, not unrelated marketing.

If you withdraw from a delivery channel, you remain responsible for accessing the order page and checking material event information through another available channel.

10. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable law.

11. Platform terms and governing law

Your use of checkout and the resulting ticket is also governed by the Terms of Use, including acceptable use, organiser responsibilities, service availability, liability, and dispute provisions.

These Guest Checkout Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

12.
